My name is Charles Jackson, owner of Bluegill Travel Agency.  Originally from beautiful South Florida, I now reside in New Caney, TX.  I love to travel, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have traveled extensively for over 20 years.

Before 9/11, I worked in the travel industry for two major airlines' vacation brands. I began in the reservations area, moved on to accounting, worked as the Internet marketing coordinator, and finally a Revenue Management analyst.  It was in the Revenue Management area that I learned travel marketing, as I was responsible for writing the fine print for newspapers, magazines, and online content advertised to the public. 

In 2010 I began taking cruises, in part because some of the destinations I wanted to visit, especially in Europe, I had never experienced.  Cruising allowed me to see multiple locations on one trip to get a taste of the place without investing too much time and money.  Once I experienced a destination that I fell in love with, it was then that I would plan a trip to that location, knowing a lot more about it.  I love cruises, too, because I pay for everything upfront.  Those that are budget-conscious, cruising is a great way to stay on budget.  Once on the ship, there are no unexpected expenses except shopping! 

In 2023 I re-entered the travel industry because it's not only something I enjoy doing myself but others frequently ask me to assist them with their travel planning because of my experience and attention to detail.
